Q.
I'm a Club Bali member and would like you to clarify what period
my maintenance payment covers.
A. Maintenance fees are paid for the period from January 1st to
December 31st each year.
Q. I'm a little confused about my 'Use Year”. When does it start
and what is it exactly?
A. By default your use year begins on the first day of the month
after you have paid 30% of your membership purchase price. On
each anniversary of that day for the term of your membership you
are credited with your CB$ (points) entitlement to be used
during the following “Use Year”. All Use Years begin on the 1st
day of a month. If 30% 0f the purchase price has been paid
Members may opt for their Use Year to begin from the first day
of the month of joining, which is useful if you want to holiday
immediately after joining the club or if you usually holiday
during the month in which you join.
Q. I was given a maintenance free year when I joined Club Bali &
I'd like to know how that fits into my maintenance payment
program.
A. If your Use Year begins on or after the 1st of August you do
not pay maintenance for the remainder of your first calender
year and all of the next calender year, but |
in the last
calender year of your membership you pay maintenance for a full
year. If your Use Year begins on or before the 1st of July you
receive free maintenance for the remainder of your first
calender year and free maintenance for all of the last calender
year of membership.
Q. Why is club Bali accommodation not exclusively for members
only?
A. If all the available memberships have been sold both Club
Bali @ Jayakarta Residence and Java Highlands would be virtually
members only resorts. We're not at that stage yet however but
until we are we give members priority by holding back the
weekend and peak times to allow time for you to make
reservations. However, the reality is that there is still
accommodation that would be left unoccupied, so to avoid losing
money the developer offers it to the public either directly or
through travel agents. Rates charged to travel agents and
walk-in guests are higher than member rates and part of the
revenue is used to subsidise membership maintenance costs.
Q. I transferred my maintenance to you by bank transfer from
overseas and my member status report says that I haven't paid
yet.
A. If the money is paid to our Australian bank it is difficult
to reconcile who made the payment unless you send an e-mail or
fax with the details. If you do that we can |
reconcile the payment when when our
bank statement arrives. It's best to use a credit card because
then we know who made the payment.
Q. What rights do I have as a member when saving or borrowing
weeks in any given year?
A. Club Bali members can save their points for use before the
end of the following year, or borrow one year in advance for use
in the current year. RBVC members must use their entitlement
each year and are able to save weeks for future use only through
RCI.
Q. Why doesn't the club provide optional single sofa bed
sleeping accommodation in the living areas at Jayakarta Bali or
Java Highlands resort.
A. Additional cost, maintenance, space constraints and a general
preference for a three seater sofa (to sit on) proclude them
being replaced by single sofa beds. In the main bedrooms a
choice of queen sized or two single bed sleeping accommodation
is offered.
Q. Can I transfer my Free Gift Certificate to another person?
A. No, sorry but the FGC is not transferrable
Q. Do I need to make a reservation to use my Free Gift
Certificate?
A. Yes! You must call club reservations (21 750 6708) to make a
booking
