What’s been happening at JHR? |
|
 |
With Idul Fitri, Christmas and New year
festivities following closely on each other things were really buzzing
at JHR. A highlight event was the Halal Bihalal ceremony which brought
members of the local community together for an evening with resort
management and staff.
Welcomed by Resort Manager Mr. Samuel, (left) distinguished guests
included the Bp Didin, Head of the District Police department, BpYanto
the District Military Chief and Mr. H. Damin, (right) Village Leader.
In addition about 150 guests from Jukit Siil village enjoyed the
occasion which was focussed mainly on the resort operating in harmony
and understanding with the local community, whilst at the same time
paying close attention to the environment.
Guests generally agreed that it is rare indeed for local businesses to
hold functions such as this and it was a positive step for Club Bali
to take such an initiative. The evening closed with a sermon and
prayer led by Mosque head Ustad Makmun and guests unanimously agreed
that the occasion was most enjoyable and of benefit to all concerned. |

Resort and facilities
improvements
We have relocated the children’s playground to the pool area
where it’s more fun for the children to play without
disturbing the local villagers.
We have also repainted and serviced the play facilities. The
exterior of the apartments have been repainted to look fresh
and new.
Activities in and out of the resort
Members now receive a 10% discount for both Taman Safari and
Taman Bunga Nusantara, provided the activity is organised
through JHR reception.
Every Saturday night there’s singing and dancing with our
local live band and we hope, (by special request) to add an
extra night of live music, probably on Friday nights.
The fish pond at the rear of the resort is open and after
considerable debate the fish we catch have agreed to be put
directly on the BBQ .
